I just happened to stumble upon…..
what I would call the most innovative expression of the ‘long tail’ in the world of social networks. The social network in question is catering to people who want to have affairs on the side while they are in relationships [yes you read that right - its a social network catering to people who cheat in relationships ].

In true ‘customer-centric’ spirit, the web site……
guarantees an ‘affair’ and boasts over 4 million anonymous users.
This could be a sham…..
and even if it is, its a great illustration of how human ingenuity can find ways to make a buck.
