Just yesterday, I was doing keyword searches on both bing and google and then comparing results. As per my own analysis, I did nt find anything siginificantly different in the search results. I did think of making a quick app which would allow me to look at both search engine results side by side. However someone else beat me to it [click here to see what I mean and read about it on techcrunch] and since I am not one to unnecessarily reinvent the wheel, [though I have been known to spend countless hours trying to redo everything in what I consider a better way whatever that way might be] I will halt my own development of this comparison tool till I can think of something else that will make it unique.
It seems that initial response to bing has been mixed - some are just falling all over themselves to promote it and some are still not impressed enough to walk away from google yet [me being one such person]. However, one thing is for sure - the titans of web based services are trying to out do each other and this can only mean better things for us end users.
Google, the current heavyweight champion of the world in search technology, has been asked for a re match by Microsoft, who lost the last fight without really putting up a fight … things can only get exciting.
